In accepting this appointment, Mr Rose expressed his commitment to advancing the GMA's strategic research, education, and enforcement programs.

“The GMA will continue to adopt best practice approaches to regulating deer, duck and quail hunting in Victoria; investing in research and new technologies to ensure evidence-based regulation.” Mr Rose said.

“I’d like to thank the Minister for Outdoor Recreation for this appointment. The GMA has an important role to play in ensuring that game hunting continues to be a safe and sustainable recreational activity, and I take this responsibility seriously.”

“I’d also like to thank Corrie Goodwin for her stewardship of the GMA during her time as Acting Chairperson. Throughout that time, Ms Goodwin provided considered and intelligent leadership, ensuring that the GMA Board maintained its strong focus on evidence-based decision making.”

Ms Goodwin will resume her substantive role as Deputy Chairperson of the GMA Board, following her recent appointment as the CEO of Victoria’s dairy regulator, Dairy Food Safe Victoria.
