Introduced game birds
Introduced game birds can be hunted all year round. There are no known wild populations, however, hunting generally occurs on licensed commercial game bird farms.
A game licence that allows the hunting of introduced game birds on a game bird farm is available at no cost. Alternatively, anyone who holds a game licence endorsed for game birds can also hunt introduced game birds.
Hunters can only use shotguns that do not exceed twelve (12) gauge. There is no daily bag limit.
Where to hunt
There are no known wild populations of introduced game bird species and hunting is restricted to commercially licensed game bird farms.
When to hunt
There is no closed season or bag limit for introduced game birds. Introduced game birds can be hunted all year round.

All species of pheasant and partridge, European, Japanese and Californian Quail are considered to be introduced game birds and may be hunted throughout the year. There is no daily bag limit
